7 Step Process

7 Step Process

Step One: Contact
Since you have this in your hand or are looking at it online, it probably means you’ve already begun the journey to planting a church in Texas.  Make sure you have an initial conversation with the State Administrator before moving forward.

Step Two: Profile
We need to know who you are before we can go further in the process.  Step two is intended to help you share with us what makes you tick, what excites you, what your gifts are, and where your strengths lie.  We’ll ask you to prepare a short personal history as well as submit your resume to us.

Step Three: Self-Assessment
Assessments are valuable tools, but can be very expensive. In order to maximize the resources God has entrusted to us, you’ll be asked to complete a self-assessment instrument.  It will give you (and us) some keen insights into your potential aptitude for church planting.

Step Four: Interview
Two interviews are generally conducted at this time.  The first is a video chat interview.  Once this is completed, you’ll be asked to submit a “pre-proposal.”  Then, you and your spouse will be invited to attend a face-to-face interview with members from our team.

Step Five: Formal Assessment
Assuming all is tracking well, the team may (or may not) choose to send you and your spouse for formal assessment.  This process provides both you and us with a lot of useful information.  It is generally well-worth the time and resources to attend.

Step Six: Contracting
If we get to this step, it means all has gone well.  The goal of step six is to agree to terms for church planting.  This includes not only the financial resourcing, but also includes the training and accountability pieces that supports the planting process.  We’ll mutually sign a covenant recognizing our partnership in the planting venture.

Step Seven: Launching
Now you’re ready.  In this final phase, you’ll move to the planting field and begin work as a church planter.  Your journey through these steps culminate with the Grand Opening day (or however an official date for worship is engineered).  We’ll promote you throughout the state and many persons will wish you well as you do the mission God has for you.
